For us, vocational training is about more than developing professional skills and gaining experience in the workplace. It is also about teamwork, mutual trust and creating shared experiences.That is exactly what our annual apprentice event was all about last Friday. At 8:45 a.m., our apprentices set off for Lüdenscheid together with their trainers. The destination and the activities planned for the day were kept a surprise. The only clue: sportswear was required. Once they arrived, an exciting and varied programme awaited them. During the Gamer Challenges, the participants had the opportunity to put their skills, knowledge, speed and team spirit to the test in a variety of disciplines. The action continued at Funderground Lüdenscheid with a round of Lasertec. Quick reactions, tactical thinking and, above all, teamwork were the key to success. After an action-packed morning, it was time to recharge with a well-deserved meal. This also gave our apprentices and trainers the opportunity to relax, exchange experiences and enjoy some time together away from the workplace. Tired but happy, and with plenty of great memories to take home, the group then headed back to Plettenberg and into a well-deserved weekend. Events like this are an important part of our apprenticeship programme. Strong teams are not only built in the workplace – they also grow through shared experiences, personal interaction and opportunities to get to know each other beyond the day-to-day working environment.We are delighted to be able to offer our young talents experiences like these and would like to thank all our apprentices and trainers for making it such a successful day!

Last week, there were three special reasons to celebrate at the Schürholz Group: Anja Jürgen-Schellert, Stefan Kleinsorge and Karsten Schmidt celebrated their service anniversaries, representing an impressive 125 years of combined service.Anja Jürgen-Schellert has been with the Schürholz Group for 40 years and works in Toolmaking / Work Preparation – Procurement. Stefan Kleinsorge celebrates 45 years with the company and works as a Tool Mechanic. Karsten Schmidt has also been part of our company for 40 years and works in Work Preparation.The management team personally congratulated the three long-serving employees during a breakfast gathering, joined by colleagues and representatives of the Works Council.We would like to sincerely thank Anja Jürgen-Schellert, Stefan Kleinsorge and Karsten Schmidt for their many years of loyalty, dedication and commitment. 125 years of combined service is truly something special – and something we are very proud of.

Once again this year, it was time to lace up our running shoes and head to the starting line together! The Feelgood Relay Race has become a firm fixture in our calendar and is a special event for the entire region every year. Of course, the Schürholz Group was once again proud to take part. And this year even saw a new record: 107 relay teams, 535 participants and several hundred visitors came together for the third edition of the event at the airfield in Hüinghausen. Our colleagues gave it their all on the course, cheered each other on and, most importantly, had a great time together. Because that is exactly what the Feelgood Relay Race is all about: rather than focusing on peak athletic performance, the event celebrates team spirit, health, the joy of being active and coming together to support a good cause.A particularly important part of the event is its commitment to the local community. 100% of the donations raised go to local clubs, non-profit organizations and social projects in Herscheid, Plettenberg and the surrounding towns. In this way, the relay race combines physical activity with a meaningful contribution to our region.At the Schürholz Group, we are delighted to support this special event every year, both as participants and as a sponsor.A big thank you to Sportfreunde Feelgood, all the volunteers and, of course, our colleagues for their commitment and for making the day such a success! We are delighted to congratulate Jan-Felix Klein on reaching another important milestone in his successful professional journey!Back in 2023, Felix completed his apprenticeship as a Tool Mechanic with top marks at our company. Since then, he has continued to pursue his career with great dedication, ambition, and commitment.Now, he has taken another significant step forward by successfully completing his Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering with an overall grade of “very good.” His Bachelor’s thesis also demonstrates how successfully Felix combines theoretical knowledge with practical experience. In his thesis, entitled “Optimization of a Leak Test for Engine Housings to Reduce Cycle Time,” he focused on a practical challenge in the field of process optimization. Felix also achieved very good results in both the written thesis and the oral examination – an outstanding achievement.From completing his apprenticeship as a Tool Mechanic with top marks to earning his Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering with a “very good” overall grade – an impressive development that we are particularly proud of as a company. Dear Felix, congratulations on this outstanding achievement! We are proud to have accompanied you on your journey so far and look forward to continuing our collaboration, supporting your personal and professional development, and taking on many exciting new challenges together.

On July 31, we celebrated a special anniversary at Schürholz Polska Sp. z o.o.: Mr. Patryk Lisek has been part of our team for 10 years.His professional journey is an impressive example of how commitment, a willingness to learn, and continuous development can shape a successful career. Mr. Lisek started his career with us as an intern. He then joined the company as a toolmaker and today works as a specialist in our Tooling Department.With his expertise, many years of experience, and reliability, Mr. Lisek makes a valuable contribution to the success of our company and the continued development of our team.On the occasion of this special anniversary, we would like to sincerely thank Mr. Lisek for 10 years of commitment, professionalism, reliability, and trusted cooperation. On June 1, Schürholz Group had the pleasure of celebrating a very special milestone: Ms. Virginia Maria Binder marked her 30th anniversary with the company.

Since joining Schürholz Group on June 1, 1996, Ms. Binder has accompanied and actively contributed to the development of our company over the past three decades. Throughout her career, she gained valuable experience in various departments and has been bringing her expertise, commitment, and professionalism to our Human Resources department since 2017.

Thirty years of service represent far more than remarkable loyalty and dedication. They stand for trust, experience, reliability, and a strong commitment to the values that define our corporate culture. Employees like Ms. Binder are an essential part of our success and help shape the spirit and identity of Schürholz Group every day.

Five years ago, we had the pleasure of celebrating her 25-year anniversary. Today, we proudly look back on another five successful years and would like to express our sincere gratitude for her 30 years of commitment, expertise, and team spirit.

On May 4, it was that time again – and once more it became clear how much can be achieved through collective commitment: Employees from Gris Group, Hiby, and Schürholz Group came together to donate blood, sending a strong message of responsibility, solidarity, and social commitment.

Since 2020, participating in blood donation campaigns has been an integral part of our social engagement. Year after year, our teams demonstrate that helping others is not just a value we talk about, but one that we actively live by.

Donating blood means being there for others when it matters most. Blood donations are urgently needed for emergencies, surgeries, and the treatment of serious illnesses. A single donation can make a crucial difference, offering hope and helping to save lives.

This year's blood donation campaign was organized by our Health Coordinator, Corinna Duppke, who coordinated and supported the event with great dedication and commitment.

The high level of participation from all three companies is a powerful reflection of the strong team spirit and sense of responsibility that unite our employees. We would like to sincerely thank everyone who took part and made a valuable contribution to society through their donation.

Together, we take responsibility – for one another and for a stronger community.

Yesterday, we bid farewell to Ms. Panagiota Ngotzamani as she entered her well-deserved retirement after an impressive 46 years with Schürholz Group. Numerous colleagues gathered to celebrate this special occasion and to thank her for her decades of dedication and commitment.

Affectionately known to everyone as “Jutta,” this is exactly how she will remain in our memories: warm-hearted, dedicated, and always willing to help.

Jutta came to Germany in 1979 and shortly thereafter began her career with Schürholz Group. At that time, she worked at our Königstraße site in Plettenberg as a machine operator in the packing department. Throughout her many years with the company, she worked in various areas and became a highly valued colleague thanks to her friendly nature, reliability, and willingness to support others.

Six years ago, we had the pleasure of celebrating her 40th anniversary with the company. Now, with her retirement, an extraordinary chapter of professional life comes to an end—one characterized by commitment, loyalty, and outstanding dedication.

The management team, works council, supervisors, and her colleagues expressed their sincere gratitude for the many years of cooperation and the valuable contributions she made to our company. During a shared meal, everyone looked back on her time at Schürholz Group, exchanged memories, and relived many special moments together.

We would like to thank Ms. Ngotzamani for her many years of loyalty and tireless commitment to our company. For this new chapter in her life, we wish her all the very best—above all, good health, happiness, and many wonderful moments with family and friends. Thank you, dear Jutta – we will miss you!

We recently had the pleasure of welcoming the children of the TuS Plettenberg youth team to our company. Their visit was a welcome change for everyone involved and provided a great opportunity for personal exchange in a pleasant atmosphere.

We were especially delighted to support the young athletes with new winter jackets as part of our sponsorship commitment. At Schürholz, supporting local clubs and volunteer engagement in our region is particularly important to us.

Sports teach essential values such as teamwork, fairness, and solidarity. For children and young people in particular, sports create valuable experiences that contribute positively to their personal development. That is why we see it as an important responsibility to support local clubs and their young talent.
